Nicole Jones is a first generation student majoring in Early Childhood Studies. She was born and raised in Sonoma County where her Southern Pomo ancestors have been living since time immemorial. She will be graduating from SSU in the Spring 2023 semester and plans to continue her education with a Master’s program in Indigenous Education. She is also a freelance artist and illustrator inspired by native culture, and native flora and fauna.
