Black History Month Event: Amplifying Black Voices in Sonoma County
6:00 pm
– 8:00 pm
It is our great pleasure to announce the Amplifying Black Voices in Sonoma County: Community Town Hall at Sonoma State University (SSU) on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 6:00pm in Stevenson Hall 1400.
We invite all students, staff, faculty, and community members of the Black diaspora in Sonoma County to participate. This meeting will provide a welcoming space for attendees to listen, learn, and connect as we celebrate Black History Month at SSU.
We have three goals for this meeting:
- Understand the findings and gaps presented in the Portrait of Sonoma County.
- Connect Black people with members of the larger Black community in Sonoma County.
- Build community connections and share resources.
Tina Rogers, Multicultural Arts Educator, and Tramaine Austin-Dillon, Interim Manager, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion | HUB Cultural Center will facilitate the meeting.
Light refreshments will be provided. If traveling by car please park in Lot A. Parking is $5
For questions please contact Tramaine Austin-Dillon at austindi@sonoma.edu.
