In honor of Black History Month, Sonoma State University warmly invites you to celebrate with us at the 4th Annual The Black Joy Fest at Sonoma State University on February 19, 2026 at 11am. 

While resilience, resistance, and perseverance are often centered in conversations about Black history, Black joy has always been present and powerful. Black people have long created, sustained, and shared joy—across generations, cultures, and communities. This celebration is an opportunity to honor that legacy together.

Black Joy Fest aims to promote unity on campus, celebrate the journey and progression of Black history, and engage students in meaningful cross-cultural exchange. We would love to celebrate Black History Month with you and your students.
