In honor of Black History Month, Sonoma State University warmly invites you to celebrate with us at the 4th Annual Black Joy Fest on February 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. on the Sonoma State University campus.
While resilience, resistance, and perseverance are often centered in conversations about Black history, Black Joy has always been present and powerful. Across generations, cultures, and communities, Black people have created, sustained, and shared joy as a vital expression of life, love, and possibility. This celebration is an opportunity to honor that legacy together.
Black Joy Fest aims to foster unity on campus, celebrate the journey and progression of Black history, and engage students in meaningful cross-cultural exchange. We would love to celebrate Black History Month with you and your students.
