SPOKE! Women's History Month with Porsche Veu, The Poetic Activist

SPOKE! is a dedicated space for students to share poetry and spoken word.  Join us for a special SPOKE! Women's History Month edition, facilitated by Porsche Veu aka The Poetic Activist.  Porsche Veu is a bold & fiery artist, speaker, facilitator and activist of many talents from Oakland, Ca. She has 6 years of experience in spoken word, motivational speaking, and workshop facilitation, though she has been a creator and artist since childhood. Porsche uses her art to fight social injustice, empower women, youth, communities of color & the Black community, and advocate for mental & emotional health. Her first vulnerable stage poem "Caesar: A Poem About Suicide", an ode to her dog & story of fighting for mental health, pushed her to evolve into an open book artist with a heart to encourage others to find freedom in erasing shame & telling their own stories. From Ted Talk to Google to The Black Women's March, Porsche has spoken, performed, and facilitated at a variety of events,
workshops, & creative spaces, leaving audiences challenged, motivated, & inspired. To learn more about Porsche Veu, please visit her website, The Poetic Activist .
